Background stamped with polka dots and hot cocoa ink. Dash lines added with white gel pen. Heart stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder. Sentiment stamped and embossed as well.
Background was stamped with a faded script rubber stamp and distress ink. Little hearts were stamped and heat embossed with clear ZING! embossing powders.
And yet... another Valentine card.
The big red heart is a die cut that I completely heat embossed. First time every trying this technique. I just covered the surface of the heart with Versa Mark ink and then heat embossed the red embossing powder. I love the texture it created. The little heart is embossed as well.
I stamped the polka dot background with some Tim Holtz distress ink, and then finished it off with some bits of scrap paper and, of course, a string bow.
I know I've mentioned before that I don't make a lot of Valentine cards. Seems like this year though I just can't get enough! I found a cute little stamp set in the dollar bin that included two adorable little heart stamps that I have been having fun with.
I just recently bought some Versa Mark ink as well. Its a watermark ink that you can also emboss with. I LOVE this ink. Every time I use it I can't help but think, "where have you been all my life?".
Well, for this card I used my Versa Mark to stamp my hearts, and then heat embossed them. I also embossed the little "love" sentiment. Shout out to my sister for the Crop-a-Dile she gave me for my birthday! I used it to add an eyelet to the banner tag. And of course, I had to add a little string. Kaiwi teases me about putting string on EVERY card I make. I just think it looks cute, though.
Now I just need to decide who to send this to. Any volunteer recipients?
